Requirements:

Warning: When connecting your laptop to the dock, the Symantec Encryption will not display on external monitors. You

must open the lid of your laptop in order to sign in.

Note: Your password will not show when typing in your passphrase, however, it is recognizing your keyboard input, and the

black bar will move to the right.

Logging In:

1. Plug the USB cable if available or directly mount your laptop to the dock itsel.f

2. Press the power button inside the laptop or on the dock.

3. The Symantec Encryption Desktop will display.

Hint: To see if you have entered the correct password, press F3 on your keyboard.

4. Enter your Smith & Howard Network Password and press Enter.

5. Your laptop will log you into your desktop.

6. External monitors will begin to display.

7. Ensure the power adapter to your laptop is connected if using a USB dock.

8. Close the laptop lid and use your external mouse and keyboard as normal.
