Dock Cable Overview

The smaller connector is the USB Type-C connector for the Dell laptops, the larger adapter that the smaller Type-C plugs into is the standard USB Type-A and that is used for the Lenovo laptops.

Connecting Dell XPS and Dell Lattitude E5570 Laptops to the Dock

Plug the USB TYPE-C small rounded connector into the LEFT side of the laptop ONLY. Once plugged in, then your laptop should power on. If it does not then you can power on your laptop.

NOTE: Do not connect the dock to the right side as it will not work properly and will not charge. You do not need to connect a power adapter as the dock will charge your laptop.

Connecting Lenovo Laptops to the Dock

Plug the USB TYPE-C small rounded connector into the USB-TYPE A adapter, then plug the TYPE-A plug into a plug marked with   stamped above the port. You will also need to connect a power adapter as the dock is unable to charge Lenovo laptops.

NOTE: If you plug it into a port without the SS stamped above the port then you will not be able to use the video and network. Be sure to connect a power adapter.
