Overview:


This article will walk you through the process of your Cisco Jabber software converting to soft-phone only mode. 

NOTE: After this conversion, Jabber will no longer be able to be used for Instant Messaging, Status management, or contact integration

We will be using Microsoft Teams from now on for internal Instant Messaging and other features to replace the Jabber application


  • Once this message appears you can continue to update the credentials.





  • You will then need to log out of Jabber and you will need to proceed by clicking on "Reset Jabber"..




  • This will be the final look of Jabber after the reset of the application, the Instant Messaging icon won't be there anymore.



  •  If you aren't receiving calls or you can not hear the person on the call with you need to change the call preference 
  • To do this follow these steps
  • To receive calls on your laptop click on the green phone icon in the bottom left-hand corner.

       



  • Then select "Use my computer". You will now receive calls from your workstation and not your phone in the office.
