Overview:


This article will guide users on how to sign-in using a Yubikey after it has been setup. This may be used for initial authentication when for windows sessions for online sign-ins that use your MS account.

Signing In:

  1. When navigating various web services for Smith + Howard, there will occasionally be sign-ins that will link to your Microsoft Account. In this article, we will be using https://www.office.com/
  2. Once loaded, navigate to the "Sign-in Options" at the bottom of the sign-in prompt

  3. You will sign-in using your Yubikey(Security Key)

  4. You will then be prompted a new Windows Security prompt where you will need to select the "Security Key"

  5. Follow the below prompts. It will be a series of inserting the security key, entering the associated pin, and touching the security key

  6. You will know you are successful once you reach the "Stay signed in?" prompt. You will be able to see your S+H email as well. Select "Yes" for this prompt.

  7. You should now be signed in to your S+H account.
