Overview:


This article will guide Smith + Howard family of Companies members on how to sign-in onto Bitwarden using Single Sign On (SSO)


Single Sing On is a method that uses your company credentials as your login authentication rather than using your specific credentials created for that particular service you are trying to access. 





Login using SSO on web vault:

  1.  Navigate to the following website: https://vault.bitwarden.com/#/vault. Enter your S+H email address and select Continue (If you are in Wealth management, or SynexusTax use your display email address ex: @synexustax.com ; @smithhowardwealth.com)
  2. Select the Enterpise Single sign-on button: 

  3. Enter "smithhoward" as your SSO Identifier (this is the same regardless of company) and select Login: 
  4. If this is your first time signing in using SSO it will ask for your master password for the first time. 
  5. You will know you have successfully logged in if you can see your items in the web vault





Login using SSO on extension:

  1.  Open your Bitwarden Extension on your web browser. Enter your respective S+H, SHWM or SynexusTax email address and select Continue 
  2. Select the Enterpise Single sign-on button: 

  3.  Enter "smithhoward" as your SSO Identifier (this is the same regardless of company) and select Login: 
  4. If this is your first time signing in using SSO it will ask for your master password for the first time. 
  5. You will know you have successfully logged in if you can see your items in the extension
