Requirements:

  • Outlook
  • Exclaimer Cloud

Overview:

This article will guide the member on how to workaround the Exclaimer Cloud add-in for Outlook not automatically populating an email signature when composing a new email.

Sections:

1. Selecting the Exclaimer Cloud template for the signature template to populate in the New Email

2. Setup of the Exclaimer Cloud template in Outlook Signatures

Selecting the Exclaimer Cloud template to populate in the New Email:

  1.   Open Outlook and select New Email (Compose Email).
  2. In the New Email under the Message tab, click Exclaimer where a tab will open up to display signature template(s) assigned to your account.
  3. When hovering over the available templates in the Exclaimer Cloud tab, members can select the template for the signature to then populate in the New Email. If more than one signature is available, default signatures can be set for new messages and replies on the right side of the Exclaimer Cloud tab. *This is for manual selection and will need to be done each time if not proceeding to next section*

Setup Exclaimer Cloud template in Outlook Signatures:

  1.   Continuing from Step 3 in the previous section; with the Exclaimer Cloud signature now added to the New Email, we can proceed with highlighting the signature to Copy (Ctrl + C) as we will need to paste this into Outlook Signatures.
  2. In the Message tab, Navigate to the Include section to select the Signature dropdown then New Signature.
  3. In the Signatures and Stationery window, select New to create a new signature and paste the copied template into the Edit signature section.
  4. To make sure that the Outlook Signature is set to appear automatically, under Choose default signature open the dropdown and select the signature that was created for New messages and Replies/forwards.
  5. Once setup, click OK and test that the signature populates!
