Requirements:

  • Technology | Active Directory Group Membership: App-UltimateEdge and SEC-PRN-EDGE (Account and Workstation)
  • Printer X
  • VPN Connection
  • N: Drive

This article will walk Synexus members, with the correct assignment, to access Ultimate EDGE AP and ensure Printer X is available in the Accounts Payable application.


Launching the Remote Desktop  

  1. Open File Explorer, the Remote Desktop to print checks will be available to launch and sign-in in the following path: N:\Shortcuts\UltimateEdge.rdp
  2. Sign-in with your credentials
  3. Select the Ultimate EDGE AP application on the Desktop of the Remote Desktop


Mapping Printer X

This will need to be done of both the Local Machine and the UltimateEdge.RDP

  1. Enter the following path in File Explorer: \\SHINF1
  2. In the list of Printers, find Printer X (ATL-WOOD-PRNTX), Double-click on Printer X and wait for the drivers to install
  3. When the Printer Queue menu appears, this will confirm it has finished setting up.


Creating Ultimate Edge AP shortcut

This will need to be done within UltimateEdge.RDP

  1. Right-click the empty desktop screen 
  2. Create a shortcut using this path: C:\Ultimate_EDGE\AccountsPayable\AccountsPayable.exe


Checking Printer Font

This will need to be done within UltimateEdge.RDP

  1. Navigate to the following path: C:\Ultimate_EDGE\AccountsPayable\Fonts
  2. Run the font and install it so it shows up for your instance.
  3. You can verify by doing a test print
