Overview


This article will teach you how to upload and download files to the Rightworks remote desktop. Rightworks will not allow you to drag and drop files into the remote desktop, rather they require you to use their file manager service through the web browser.


Step Zero

  1. Make sure you are signed in to your Bitwarden so it is able to save your password for the next time. 



Using the Rightworks File Manager

  1. Sign in to Rightworks: Rightworks Login
    1. If this is your first time logging in, you will be required to fill out some extra account information.
  2. In the ribbon on the left, select the option for File Manager. 


  3. You will be prompted to sign in again at a new window. Use your Rightworks information to sign in again.


  4. This will bring you to interface for all of the files on Rightworks.


  5. On the left side you can see the file structure. We will want to navigate to the Birmingham Clients. By clicking the triangle next to the folder, you can expand it. By clicking on any folder, you can see its contents in the area to the right.
              

  6. If you are working on a preexisting client, you can double click their folder to open their files specifically. If you need to set up a new client, you will need to create a folder for them. You can do this with the action bar at the top of the files.



    1. This is the "up one level" button. It opens the folder above your current location, a.k.a. the folder "up one level" from your current location.


    2. This is the new folder button. Click it to create a new folder in the current location.

      This is the download button. Until you click on a file it will remain gray, as there is no target to download. Once you select a file. It will light up blue and become clickable. 


    4. This is the upload button. When you click it, it will prompt you to select a file from your computer. Once you confirm the file selection, it will upload it to the current location in the Rightworks file structure.
