• PPC Tools Setup (Desktop app)
• Confirm the Checkpoint Acct #

Overview:

This article will guide a Tax/Assurance member on installing the respective Checkpoint PPC tools for the different Practices they manage for their clients. During busy season, new PPC tools are released and being up to date will ensure you are using the latest practices of the year

Identifying and Installing:

1.   If you are in the Birmingham or Carolinas offices, the PPC Tools Setup should be available as a desktop shortcut. Check your main display screen or user the Windows search bar to find the app
   
2. Run the app and you will see the familiar PPC Installer wizard.
   
   • NOTE: Before installing look below for the correct account
3. Confirm Account #

4. Select the necessary Checkpoint tools needed for your Engagements and select Next
   
5. Important Step: Choosing download path. Error will appear if this step is not done
   • When choosing the installation location, you will need to manually enter: C:\%USERPROFILE%
   • 
6. Once you have entered the path you should be able to proceed to the download. You will know everything is finished when you reach this screen
   

Testing and Verifying:

1.  Once you have download the correct PPC Tools, you will want to open the Checkpoint Tools for PPC App:
2. Verify that the correct tools installed and are showing up. This will allow you to use them when working within Engagements with Excel and Word files!
